The 49 standard rooms are very small but functional to spend the night and take a good refreshing shower after a long day in the heat of the walk-through colonial Havana. This beautiful flagship hotel was a refuge for renowned British writer Hemingway, who stayed and wrote most of “For whom the bells toll” here during the 1930s.


Upon arrival, a beautiful lobby decorated with an attractive and modern corner fountain welcomes you in the heat of art exhibitions and piano bar melodies. An elevator from the 30s constitutes a charming element. The terrace will let you enjoy a beautiful view of the Plaza de Armas and the surrounding area and the Del Monte meeting room can accommodate up to 100 people where conferences, business meetings and weddings can be held.
