Laguna with lunch 

We take a nice walk (+/- 1 hour) in the Escambray from Cafetal to a beautiful lagoon. There you will enjoy a nice drink and go for a swim and enjoy in a paradise setting. Upon your return, a typical Cuban lunch "caldoza" awaits you.

• Transfer: they can pick you up in the morning at your casa in Cienfuegos and we will drop you off at your casa in Trinidad (or back in Cienfuegos) in the evening.

This is an excursion made by Nancy, who is Belgian and together with her Cuban friend and cook. They have been living in the Escambray Mountains for 3 years. The hamlet where tehy live is called Cafetal, it has 150 inhabitants and is located halfway, at 40 km, between Cienfuegos and Trinidad. They have a vegetable garden and breed rabbits and pigs.

She loves to share her experience of a Cuba "off track". Away from everything that is touristy so that you can experience for yourself how the Cubans live.
