Finca Don Pedro is located in natural setting on Peninsula de Zapata - one of the most important ecosystems in Cuba and the largest swamp reserve in the Caribbean. Hotel is near Las Salinas and Hatiguanico where you can see more then 65 species of migratory, endemic and native birds and is ideal place for resting, bird watching and fishing.
There are 10 wooden cabanas built to resemble typical farm house in the area. From the hotel you can hire bicycles, go for horse back riding and enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The region's landscape and attractive countryside-style cabins turn Batey don Pedro into ideal place for leisure.
While you are in the area you can visit Guama (a restored Taino Indian village on Laguna del Tesoro), crocodile-breeding centre and Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs) Museum.
Restaurant specializes in Creole food, drinks bar with typical Finca Campesina offers a few meters of natural fruit juices, cocktails (all of his own) and the familiar juice, beverage obtained directly from sugar cane.
