We will take you through a powerful quintet Veneto (Venezia),  Emilia Romagna (Ferrara);Lazio (Rome), Tuscany (Florence) and Lombardy (Milan).  Five Italian regions with a vast variety of art treasures, mesmerizing architecture and historical landmarks, some of them considered UNESCO’s World Heritage.  

A tour to discover the capital of Veneto, founded in 421 and built on 117 islands with 150 canals and 400 bridges. Yes, I said what I said… we also want you to enjoy taking that gondola ride! . Will visit what is today known as "bicycle city", the first modern city in Italy and among the most important and culturally founding lordships of the Italian Renaissance. 

Come and discover the city with the most fountains in the world! A journey through the Renaissance and its expressions, a journey into a countryside canvas with olive trees and vineyards. And finally a dive into the city of fashion and design, the center of numerous financial activities.

Venice is a city of canals, gondolas, and romance + Ferrara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many beautiful palaces, churches, and museums + Rome is home to many iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican City + Florence is a city of art and architecture. It is the birthplace of the Renaissance + Milan is home to many world-famous brands, including Gucci, Prada, and Versace. The city is also known for its beautiful architecture, including the Duomo Cathedral and the Castello Sforzesco.

Day: 0 Departure from Canada
Arrive on time for your departure from Hamilton Airport to Iceland for your connecting flight to Venice.
 
Hop aboard your Play Airlines flight and brace yourself for the advent

Day: 1 Hello Venice
Arrival in Reykjavik on your transit day: meet our Reps and enjoy breakfast and city tour.

Return to Keflavik Airport and get on your flight continuing to Venice.

Arrival Day. Transportation (included) from Airport to Venice. Accommodation in Downtown Venice.

Day: 2 Friend with Vene-feet
Walking has benefits but walking Venice is the ultimate experience. At the end, if you didn’t walk it…You didn’t see it!!!. 

A 3-hours guided tour in the morning wandering around Venice from the majestic San Marco square, the magnificent palaces and churches to the little alleyways, boutiques and coffee shops  that only locals know about. Discover Venice following the footprints of their people. 

 Take the afternoon free for the so desired “gondola” trip across the channels, say hi to Don Juan the Marco, make a wish under the Bridge of Sighs or simply enjoy having local food, sipping a local beer or the so famous Aperol spritz while watching a breathtaking sunset at the port.

Day: 3 Bye Bye Venice, Hello Ferrara
Venice’s check-out. Train ride to Florence  (approx. 50’) from Venice (Santa Lucia)  to Ferrara Central Station. Accommodation in Downtown Ferrara.

Day: 4 Magic Atmosphere
A 3-hour guided tour around its historic center, the perfect example of the ideal city from a humanistic point of view. It's quiet and traveler-friendly, full of art and culture. Ferrara is so rich in gems to behold that a full list of must-see destinations would be quite long. 

Lovers of all-round artistic events will love the stories about the Ferrara Buskers Festival, which brings together all the best street artists in the world. 

The capital of the province of Emilia-Romagna of the same name, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its entirety, and is the mirror of how absolutely modern and profoundly revolutionary the Renaissance was for humanity.

 In your free time take bicycles! Cycling in Ferrara is common, walking enthusiasts can choose the route around the walls of Ferrara. In terms of gastronomy, the tip is to forget about low-calorie resolutions for a few hours and treat yourself to a meal or snack for pure pleasure. Delicacies to savor?

 To start from a dessert, there is “torta tenerina”; “pasticcio Ferrarese” is remarkable, a shortcrust pastry delicacy; cured meats are the flagship of Ferrara cuisine.

Ferrara’s check-out. Train ride to Rome  (approx. 3 hours) from Ferrara Central Station to Rome (Termini). Accommodation in Downtown Rome.

Day: 6 Ancient Squares and Fountains
A 3-hour guided tour across Rome, also called the eternal city, one of the most important cities of the world and  also the center of spiritual life as everyone knows the "Stato del Vaticano" where The Pope stands. 

This walking tour is to the famous plazas with their incredible fountains, passing by the Coliseum, one of the most famous monuments in Rome where gladiators used to fight or operas were played. Rome is full of ancient monuments and columns, and Roman temples.

Day: 7 Bye Bye Rome, Hello Florence
Rome’s check-out.

Train ride to Florence  (approx. 1 ½  hours) from  Rome (Termini) To Florence (Santa Maria Novella) Accommodation in Downtown Florence.

Day: 8 The birthplace of the Renaissance
A 3-hour guided tour around the historical city marvels including visits to locations, buildings and relevant landmarks especially curated for you. Simply put, a trip in time to admire the vast richness of mesmerizing historical heritage. 

Take the afternoon free and get to discover Florence through your own eyes. Visit a museum, walk the street that caught your attention, enter the palace, enjoy the sound of the Giotto’s bell Tower ringing, take a break sipping an espresso. 

Remember!!!…Florence is the lively expression of the Italian Renaissance, so don’t forget your camera!!! because we will bring the perfect photo right to your lens…you just need to snap it!

Day: 9 Free Day in Florence
Relaxing day to freely enjoy the exquisite city, known throughout the world for its artistic masterpieces, the colored marble of the churches and the high-sounding architecture, following your own interests.

Day: 10 Bye Bye Florence, Hello Milan
Florence’s check-out. Train ride to Milan  (approx. 1 ¾  hours) from Firenze (Santa Maria Novella) to Milano Central Station. Accommodation in Downtown Milano.

Day: 11 Cosmopolitan Metropolis
Will continue with a guided photographic tour of the famous Navigli, one of the most charismatic, young and lively areas of Italy, famous for its twin canals system studied by Leonardo da Vinci and cobbled streets where the lively spirit coexists with the quiet and intimate atmosphere of its alleys. 

Milan plays on the field of cosmopolitan and popular cuisine with traditional dishes, sometimes revisited, such as risotto and His Majesty the Panettone. A must to taste an aperitif, an unmissable tradition.

Day: 12 Farewell Milan
Last day / Check-Out Day Milan. According to the international flight operation, train ride to Venice (approx. 2 ¼ hours) from Milan Central Station to Venice (Mestre or Santa Lucia) and transfer bus from Venice Station to Venice Airport. 

Arrive on time for your departure from Venice Airport to Iceland for your connecting flight to Canada.

Upon arrival at Keflavik Airport on your transit day our Reps will welcome you and take you to a Hotel in the Reykjavik area for overnight including breakfast.

At noon get your transfer to Keflavik Airport for your flight home
